Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company to Present Summer Season in Grand Rapids
The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, Michigan’s only year-round, touring Shakespeare company, will present its summer productions of Henry V at the Dog Story Theater in Grand Rapids as part of the company’s summer tour of Michigan venues. Henry V will play at the Dog Story Theater, 1115 Taylor NW in Grand Rapids August 12-15.
Henry V is an action packed history, which follows the famous English king on his conquest of France. Henry becomes a great leader as he must inspire his people to overcome overwhelming odds to win the battle of Agincourt. Shakespeare balances the action and intrigue of the play’s historical events with the humorous and quirky characters who populate Henry’s army, and with the love story of Henry and the witty French princess. Actor Michael Empson stars as Henry V.
The company’s summer tour will also take the production to the Beardsley Theater in Muskegon, C3 Exchange in Spring Lake, the Red Barn Theater in Saugatuck, and Creative 360 in Midland.
Tickets to all Pigeon Creek performances at the Dog Story Theater are $12 for adults, $6 for students and seniors. Tickets are available below. For further information about the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, visit http://www.pcshakespeare.com.

Please note:
The Friday, August 13th performance has been changed to Pay-What-You-Will due to a live rock band performance in the MXTP space beneath ours on that evening. We were not notified of their intentions to perform on that evening, and have not been assured that proper sound-proofing will be installed to ensure an uninterrupted performance in our space. For these reasons, we encourage you to come to see Henry V on another evening.
Dog Story Theater is working hard to fix this situation, even if it entails a permanent change of venue for us.
Thank you for your understanding in this frustrating matter,
Dog Story Theater Board of Directors
