Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company to Present Summer Season in Grand Rapids The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company, Michigan’s only year-round, touring Shakespeare company, will present its summer productions of Henry V at the Dog Story Theater in Grand Rapids as part of the company’s summer tour of Michigan venues. Henry V will play at the Dog Story Theater, 1115 Taylor NW in Grand Rapids August 12-15.
Henry V is an action packed history, which follows the famous English king on his conquest of France. Henry becomes a great leader as he must inspire his people to overcome overwhelming odds to win the battle of Agincourt. Shakespeare balances the action and intrigue of the play’s historical events with the humorous and quirky characters who populate Henry’s army, and with the love story of Henry and the witty French princess. Actor Michael Empson stars as Henry V.
The company’s summer tour will also take the production to the Beardsley Theater in Muskegon, C3 Exchange in Spring Lake, the Red Barn Theater in Saugatuck, and Creative 360 in Midland.
